Kuma steps off on two brooding Dub versions vocalled by NYC’s Juakali and Amalia, and remixed rudeboy style by Grievous Angel. He plays straight, cool and rollin’ with the ‘What It’s Not’ rhythm, laying solid bass work for elegantly sparse and streamlined rhythm, giving nuff space for Juakali’s dread croon in the first, and a sweeter female response from Amalia in ‘Fall’. Taking it one touch tuffer, Grievous Angel takes us back to ‘98 styles with killer 2-step snare punctuation and nastier bass licks like some fierce Steve Gurley production gone awol in a warehouse at 6am.
